Following the successful leadership training provided by the Amnesty office in Abuja to 1st Phase, 2nd Phase and 3rd Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), beneficiaries have reaffirmed their support and loyalty to the Administrator of the Programme, Dr. Dennis Otuaro.
An Ex-agitator and beneficiary of the programme, Gen. Abiri Stanley, alias Faceless’,gave the affirmation in an interview with newsmen in Yenagoa on Thursday.
Abiri thanked Otuaro for given delegates the opportunity for the training and the transformative lessons gain so far.
The ex-agitator who is also the street co-ordinator for peace across the Niger Delta, said, the impact of the training has robbed of on the leaders, which they would apply in improving their lives and transforming society.
He asserted that, beneficiaries of the programme have reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty and have threw their weight behind Otuaro’s programmes and progressive leadership style, adding that, beneficiaries would continue to rally behind him, and urged all to support him to succeed.
He noted that, Otuaro had focused on laudable human capacity building programmes, while embarking on new initiatives, delivering visible progress and improving the lives of beneficiaries.
He highlighted some critical achievements of Otuaro, which includes the award of scholarship to leaders and other educational beneficiaries in the region.
Others are the collaboration with the Amnesty International in areas of common interest and working with relevant authorities for the upward review of the monthly stipend to delegates, and also reviving the programme for better delivery.
He also praised Otuaro for his leadership qualities and reiterated the ex-agitators absolute support for his transformative agenda.
Abiri called on youths across the Niger Delta to remain united and maintain the prevailing peace.
